Chennai: The Madras High Court on Saturday ordered a stay on the publication of NEET exam results, following a petition filed by students who were unable to complete the exam due to a power outage at a centre in Avadi, Chennai.

The outage, which occurred during the exam held on May 4, reportedly lasted for about 45 minutes.

The court has directed that the results be withheld until the Central Government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) submit their responses on the issue.

The case will be heard again on June 2. Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh High Court had also issued a stay on the release of NEET results.
